Voyage en Babiolie is a brand new company that makes upcycled and handcrafted accessories.
The accessories are for sale in and around Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in Tarn-et-Garonne in South-West France.
The founder Véronique Vannier approached us about the branding design of Voyage en Babiolie. We agreed to start off with a logotype to be used on social media accounts and on brand tags for the fashion and home decor accessories.
For a new brand it is crucial to have an impactful presence on social media. We followed up with a Canva workshop so that Véronique could learn how to easily create stunning visuals for her social media content.
Initially the logo will be used on social media and on brand tags for the accessories. The brief was vast, and together we worked on narrowing down the elements in the future logo. We went for an Art Nouveau inspired font with a modern touch.
The colours marine blue and brass are two of the favourites of Véronique. They have followed her in previous interior decorating work. To add a fairytale feeling we added a few twinkling stars to the logotype.
At first the idea was to include a symbol to show what the brand makes, or how, but Voyage en Babiolie has a large vision of offering many types of accessories for both fashion and home decor, using different techniques. One symbol could potentially limit the brand, and several symbols could clatter the image. We therefore decided to stick with the “all-round” logotype.
