Sometimes all you need is a great photo (…mockup*)

Our partner CloseUp PR asked us if we could help them design photos for one of their clients’ press release, and we were happy to oblige.

Saxhyttegubben® is a brand of top-notch alcohol-free alternatives to wine, soda and schnapps. Their drinks are made of 100% pure juice from Swedish blueberry, lingonberries and apples.

The photos were to be done for a marketing campaign to show off Saxhyttegubben’s drinks for the December holidays and festivities. The brief was to integrate a “white/winter/luxurious ice/glittering snow or similar” background to the original studio photos of the three bottles. Two of them already had a glass next to them, but the blueberry bottle missed a wine glass at its side, so that was to be added too, if possible.

Of course it was possible! We played around with photos of a wine glass and a marble tabletop, we added the bottles and see-through parts, we tweaked the reflections of the bottles and glasses, we created festive backgrounds with bokeh** glitter and lights, and are actually very pleased with the result.

*A mockup is an artistic rendering of a design or product that showcases said product in action. A mockup can be a model, image or scene of a proposed design or product, and they’re often used for demonstration, education or promotion.

**Bokeh is an aesthetic quality of the blur produced in out-of-focus parts of an image.
